A quick background on Schwinn:

Schwinn’s long and colorful history in the bicycle and fitness equipment industry began as early as 1895. It has maintained its iconic stance in the industry to date in the recreation product, and home, and the commercial fitness worlds. Founded in Chicago by Ignaz Schwinn and his partner Adolph Arnold, Schwinn innovated and revolutionized the bicycle industry with several pioneered products which include the bicycle balloon tire in 1933; the Cyclelock®, a bicycle theft solution in 1935; and the fore-wheel brake, cantilever frame and the spring fork in 1938, which are the predecessors of today’s off-road bicycles. Schwinn later introduced their first in-home workout machines in 1965. To this date, they managed to introduce a whole new line of upright bikes, recumbent bikes, steppers, treadmills, elliptical and home gyms. Now, that’s years of experience under its belt, honed and perfected through the years. A tried and tested must-have for the fitness fanatic in you!

Why choose The Schwinn 430 Elliptical?

Whether you’re buying a bicycle or a piece of exercise equipment, the brand “Schwinn” delivers every time! That’s product quality backed by years of experience, science, and innovations. You are assured of that same quality with the Schwinn 430 Elliptical. This elliptical machine is guaranteed strong, durable and of solid construction. The Schwinn 430 Elliptical comes with a sleek computer console with awesome features like pre-programmed workouts, user profile capabilities and downloading; to track your performances and award you the enjoyment of reaching your fitness goals.

Product Quality & Durability

With Schwinn’s 100-years experience in the bicycle industry, you know that you are getting a quality product. The innovations they’ve introduced throughout the years have redefined the industries of bicycling and fitness in a whole new level. You can never go wrong with the Schwinn!

Computer Mechanism

For an entry level elliptical machine, you are NOT in any way shortchanged when you buy the Schwinn 430 Elliptical. The Schwinn 430 Elliptical is affordable yet equipped with the basics and some add-ons that other generic ellipticals don’t have. The computer has dual screens to help view your progress better (Note that it may be a little confusing until you set up your user profile. Read the User Manual provided to be properly guided). The computer console allows you to pre-program two (2) separate profiles. It also comes with a total of 22 programs which include 9 workout programs and 8 heart rate controls. The computer system allows you to quickly adjust the 22 levels of resistance made available to the 430 Elliptical. You may compare this to the Nautilus E614’s 20 levels of resistance.

Workout Tracking

Another feature of the Schwinn 430 Elliptical its ability to track your workout performance and download the data for comparison from previous workouts. It’s a great motivator!

  • The most notable drawback of the Schwinn 430 Elliptical is the incline capabilities. The Schwinn 430 Elliptical offers up to 10° while others can offer up to 20° of incline; what it does is amp workout difficulty and target different muscle groups. A good workout can still be achieved from both, so it’s not a dealbreaker.
  • Another issue is the manually-adjusted incline. You’re going to have to stop your workout to adjust them, then get back on it after. It’s a bit of an inconvenience for some users to interrupt their heart rate rhythm (rhythm should be kept at a certain level to achieve maximum calorie burn to burn fat) to adjust the incline during workout.
  • The heart rate monitoring function is obtained through the hand grips. Sensors are activated (a chest strap is beneficial here) after holding them for 10 seconds. Information is then transferred to the computer display. The continuous readings from the chest strap are especially useful to 8 computer heart rate programs the machine uses.

Other than those mentioned here, the Schwinn 430 Elliptical is a keeper. Grab yours now!
